Good Morning Beautiful Panda-Family,

Brandy NY #227
You go girl!!! I agree with you 100%. It's been making me a little crazy with these clock statements also. Aside from that, I do notice where it seems like people sometimes ask the same questions over and over which could be avoided if they read the previous blogs. I have to make one little confession though, I accidentally did it myself one time because sometimes when I post something, it appears and says that it is awaiting moderation. Then sometimes it disappears completely like I never asked it at all. One day this confused me, and I DID ask the same question twice. Needless to say, I felt like a fool; but that is the only time it happened to me because I always read ALL the blogs before I write anything.

Wouldn't it be great if Bai Yun would put out a book on time management???? I'd sure buy one, wouldn't you? Hee Hee :-)

Kat W 250
I am one of "those" people who defended Bai Yun to you. Don't worry about it, EVERY one of us has had a day like you were having from time to time. There are MANY days when I wish I could just get a hug from Momma Bai :-)

On November 11th, 2009 at 3:21 pm, Sharon Diederich was nice enough to share this story and I thought it would go a very LONG WAY in reassuring you that our baby boy could not be in better hands. Read it, enjoy it, and remember it when you are feeling like you are ready to through a tangent. Smile, we all make it through!!
Sharon Diederich says:
I admit that at first, I also was a bit alarmed at mom’s absence. Then one day I logged onto the baby cam just in time to see an eye opener!! Bai Yun was moving the baby around as he was very active that day, stretching his limbs, trying to move on his own. Bai took his front legs, stretched them a bit so he could get a good hold (on den floor) and then worked to stabilize his back leg area. While I held my breath, baby held on tight. If memory serves me right, she was holding his mid/back area to steady him while he tried. When he tired, she cuddled him to her again. Didn’t last very long, but I couldn’t believe my eyes. So–truly, mom knows her stuff!! :-)

I think you are very wise in your observations; we humans can really learn quite a bit if we just watch nature!! :-)

Hugs, kisses, and love to our beautiful bears!!! :-)

I am having a blast watching Lin Ping tonight. Her motto is definitively "The grass is greener on the other side of the fence". When she is in her enclosure she spends most of her non-sleeping time climbing on the bamboo fence and trying to get between the metal bars. Her keepers took her outside the enclosure to get her to climb on a wooden structure, but she didn't seem all that interested, so she climbs back in her enclosure, the metallic fence had been left open. After she was back inside, the keepers closed the metallic fence and of course now she wants out again!!! I wish they could put her outside where she could play and run around to burn all that energy...

Debi #237, I made the "Spin the Cubbie" scene into a YouTube video titled "Bai Yun and Cub Celebrate 14 Weeks" which commemorates the cub's 14 week birthday today! Quite honestly, I've never seen them engaged in that behavior for so long - as well as a bath, it appeared like Bai was playing with him!! Quite adorable! Also included some footage of Bai watching her cub's progress with his walking efforts! The link is:

#232 Mary: I also read the official news about two pandas will go to Singapore. President Hu JinTao is visiting Singapore and announced the news. "China is ready to provide Singapore with a pair of pandas for joint research".

Another two pandas, WangWang and FuNi will be in Australia this or next month.
