PS:Mei Sheng mated with female panda"Ying Ying" at BiFengXia panda base on 8th May this year.So Mei Sheng will be a father this year.Good news,isn't it?! They share video complete with the screeching later if it's like ZZ (did she have healthy lungs! and leaping around in circles calling for mama who'd stepped out for a sec). The obsessively watching the cam for a tiny cub sighting was fun (stare, stare, "i see it! i see the cub! oops, there goes Bai's protective paw again, durn!", back to stare stare). Oo, oo now the cam is outside the den, maybe now...? We are all nuts... At the time, it was amazing to me that we could catch even a glimpse of what was going on in the den. As you say, the technological advances since then have been "first class." What we see on the cams today is so far superior to what we could see back then! Of course the introduction of these blogs around the time of Su Lin's birth was wonderful and opened up a whole new world of information. We are all very blessed to be able to watch and learn about our favorite animals in nearly real time. Thanks SDZ staff for all you do! Can't wait for news of the birth(s)! The close-ups of the pandas and polar bears is fantastic. I don't mind the small writing. My eyes are fighting short and long sight at the same time so I am now finding the small writing easier to read. Something good out of getting old I suppose! Bai is sleeping in her den. The cam was also on Su Lin, and the cam meerkats had a great closeup of her slumped over a log napping. Does she know that she'll be a big sis again?? Gotta go and do my stuff! Will be back later!
