		<description>Thanks for the interesting write-up and for including the recording. I would have never imagined a koala would sound like that! Do koalas in captivity engage in similar vocalizations or is this an &quot;in the wild&quot; phenomenon? 

Technology has definitely helped advance wildlife research. Amazing what can be accomplished now.</description>

		<description>I&#039;ve never heard a koala bellow like that before! cool!  they are very cute and cudley looking. is the night time bellowing a mating call between males and females, or just late night chatter? the sound is much lower in octaves than I would have thought.  like a bass or baritone........</description>
