thanks adam for the update! it sounds as though you are enjoying your time at the zoo there as well as the country of australia. in general, I think people that work in zoos all over the world and most people
that have a love for animals and mankind are basically the same kind of good people! don't you? I'm sure that you have made alot of new friends and learned some new things along the way! it's wonderful that you were given this opportunity! I'm sure that you will be ready to return to the SDZ when your time is up in melbour ne; there's NO PLACE LIKE HOME! homeis where the heart is, but, embrace your experience and always remember it. everyone at home waits eagerly for your return and all the stories that you will share.

Adam - Sounds as if you are having a jolly good visit to the south of Australia. The many things you are learning, both from the animals and the locals, will benefit you alot in the long term. Looking forward to your return, and possibly a ski trip to Mammoth Mountain in January.

Adam , I really enjoyed your blog it is so interesting I wanted it to go on just like a book that I am reading and can't put down. Thank you so much for sharing,I am so glad that all the zoo keepers are so caring and concerned for there charges. It must be great to watch the penguin keeper try to fool the univited guest, when I worked at the beach club we had ducks every year tht would show up I liked them but they went in the pool and pooped and the guest where not happy,we also have goose etc in the pond. I like animals at the zoo and sea world, and my hummingbirds.Adam can you tell me if they fly south or somewhere for the winter???? Well I am sooo glad you are enjoying your trip you so looked forward to it. I know my neighbor Brent speaks funny I guess like we sound to him. I know Melbourne is going to miss you and so are the roos and joey's but the San Diego Zoo will be happy to have you back you are so devoted to your charges, they are blessed and thank you for sharing I really can't wait for the next blog.
Hehe...."counter-clockwise raking motion". Great entry man. I can tell you're writing has really improved, and I love the balance between animal info and your personal feelings about your experiences. Keep it up! So when exactly are you due back in the states? I bet those kangaroos (and fellow keepers) are gonna miss you when you're gone. How's the food down there? Have ya tried vegimite?
