how are the twins doing? it is so cute on how marcella chooses to respond to her babies demands. mom's are so smart when it comes to their offspring. she is choosing not to respond to every little whimper
and to not over indulge as to be a slave to the little demanding one. she is an experienced mother from previous births and is not going to be easy riled or nervous as a new mom might!!! yet she is a good mom and seems to know the appropriate time to respond to their cries and demands. with each birth, her experience and know-how increases. kind of like human moms no less!! keep us up-dated as to how they are doing and how much they are growing. any chance of a cam!? lots of interests out here...........!!

Thanks for the update Suzanne. Sounds like everyone is getting an education in raising twin Sun Bear cubs, especially Marcella.

Looking forward to hearing more about them as they continue to grow and thrive under her excellent maternal care.

Congrats, on the twins, with me being in the Navy Stationed in San Diego I get to spend alot of time at the zoo, and can't wait to see them. I wish since I am on deployment and not in San Diego I wish you had a Sun Bear Cam so that I could at least see them in their few weeks old stage.

Congrats anyway,

This is such a great article! I'm really intrigued with the twins and it's fascinating to hear how different in temperament they are at such a young age. I wish we had "Sun Bear Cam" :-)

It would be great if there was a camera in the den. I once saw a documentary where they placed a camera inside a tree. I think it was to watch red pandas.

Can't wait to hear which is a boy and which is a girl (hmmm...making some assumptions!?). I am fascinated by animal mothering instincts, especially how it relates to twins, and am looking forward to hearing more about how these 2 develop.
