Zhen Zhen on the Go-Go

Our littlest panda, Zhen Zhen, is growing up fast. As she’s begun to eat more bamboo, she’s awake more, doing the classic “mini-Mom” next to Bai Yun and looking as cute as, well, a panda cub! She amazes and delights us all with her antics, biting and nipping at Mom, swinging and hanging from the tree limbs, learning quickly to grab vegetable treats and take them up into the high branches to keep them out of her mother’s reach (since Bai Yun seems to believe that all food is her food, even from her own cubs).

Koala Tracking with GPS

Cheetahs to get Neighbors

cheetahThere’s a lot of hustle and bustle in the neighborhood as we prepare for our new neighbors, endangered iguanas. While everyone is looking forward to their arrival, the building still needs to be built before the iguanas can move into their new home sweet home! It’s about time for an upgrade from their current home, which was built in the late 1980s.

Lion Cubs Grow by the Minute!

I know that I have said this repeatedly, but the lion cubs are growing like weeds! (Read Kym’s previous blog, Lion Cubs are Growing Fast!) If you have been out to visit Lion Camp at the Wild Animal Park recently, I am sure you have noticed that our cute, (not-so) cuddly cubs are growing bigger by the minute, it seems.

How to Spot a Cheetah

Pombe, Moyo, and Etana

At the Wild Animal Park, we have three sister cheetahs on exhibit: Moyo, Pombe, and Etana. As many of the blog readers may know, the group of sisters is actually a foursome (See Kelly Casavant’s blog, Cheetah Girls). The fourth sister, Makena, is kept at an off-exhibit enclosure because, unlike her sisters, she could not handle the fame of being on exhibit as well as they could.
