Starting To See Black and White

Posted at 12:46 pm August 10, 2007 by Megan Owen

cub at 8 daysOur new panda cub is now a week old and it has changed so much already. One of the most striking changes that we see during the first few weeks of life is the development of the pandas’ trademark black-and-white coloring on the skin. Well, at about 12:30 p.m. today we got a great view of the cub nestled calmly in the crook of Bai Yun’s neck and there they were: the first signs of the black ears, eye-patches, and limbs! Look closely at the cub the next time Bai Yun gives us a peek. The black coloring should intensify dramatically over the coming week.

Stay tuned!

Megan, This picture is to precious,I could just cry watching Bai and our little one.I think this little one is going to be something special. I could see the slight change of color on the baby. but now back to the cam.

  2. Sharon, Fort Worth says:

Well, I’ll have to take everyone’s word for the markings beginning to show, since I am still patiently waiting for my first pandacam glimpse of Bright Star cubmuffin. In response to all recent comments about pandacam features such picture, sound, image capture, etc I just think we have to be happy with whatever is offered. Each site has its plus & minus features. For picture, I prefer NZ, but then they aren’t giving us much news these days. For this participatory weblog, SDZ has to get 5 stars. Also for the video clips. ZA has good blogs and pic, but not as much camera time. I never get the opportunity to see Mei Lan outdoors in the morning because of my time zone & work schedule. And then there’s Memphis – I am unable to view their pandacam and panda updates are rare now since Ya Ya lost her cub. I just enjoy the best of each site.

Zoo Atlanta had an interesting blog today about the fruits and veggies used as treats and to supplement the pandas diet. Very particular preferences among their pandas. Could someone from SDZ comment on their adult pandas and what each likes and dislikes? I also have noted that ZA sometimes gives sugar cane as a treat and I have never heard that mentioned by other zoos. And in China I think they use a rice gruel and some kind of bread they bake, instead of the leafeater biscuits.

  3. Lisa T. in Dallas, TX says:

I just saw the baby up close and was able to make out the black markings mentioned above. What a privilege and a blessing it is to be able to see a glimpse of this miraculous event! Bai is such a wonderful mom and it brings much joy to my heart to watch these two together! Thanks Meerkats for the awesome camera angles of mom and cub!

  4. Lynda says:

My husband says I am obsessed – and I am!! But what a precious gift you are giving us by letting us inot the world of Bai Yun and her cub! I am just in awe of this miracle!! Thank you for the blog entries and all your constant monitoring to ensure all stay well…..can’t wait to see the cub this weekend and the progression of the black coloring!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

  5. rebecca says:

this picture is wonderful, i have watched her and the baby for several days now, i keep it minimized so i can look every few minutes. i do wish there was sound, but she is one amazing MOM!!!!! she is so gentle and observant of the baby when she moves……..WOW

  6. Lisa says:

It might help to make the small photos in the blog a thumbnail that links to a bigger photo, so we can see the detail that the blog refers to; especially with the cub being so tiny right now. That approach would make the best use of the photos.

Thanks for providing us with this website and this wonderful cam. I’m from the DC area, so we’re a little sad right now that Tia Shan is an only child, but it helps to have the San Diego cubs to watch.

  7. Tonia says:

I am really amazed how Bai yun is doing with the newborn cub. She is such a good mother to that baby, since I have been keeping and eye on her every day. I haven’t notice any black spots on the newborn cub yet, like you been saying. I am going to look forward seeing what she look like in her first examination. I bet the newborn is going to look adorable. Seeing her on the web is the best thing to me. I wish I could come and see her. I am so sorry that I can’t . But seeing her on the wonderful panda cam is the best. She looks like she sleeping alot. That is good for her, after giving birth to the cub one week ago. The pictures are awesome to see. I have been enjoying them greatly. Thank you for letting me enjoy this wonderful experience in life in a zoo on the web. Happy birthday! one week old cub.

  8. Maureen says:

Ohhh, the latest picture of our cubbie is priceless – for those of that watch for hours, I have managed to see the cubbie 3 times I think – 2 for sure – one was a maybe.
Was watching the NZ panda cam this afternoon & saw Mei Xiang & Tian having a play session. Hard to tell who started the play -probably Tian & Mei didn’t feel like playing – but it was funny watching one backing the other one rapidly across the exhibit. Then they both ended up in their day room trying to get each others treat. Good to see Mei active again – she seemed so depressed after her pseudo pregancy.

Thanks again for the love & care you give these pandas & for the info you give us.

  9. LORI HUBER says:

BAI IS THE BOMB ,BUT OUR OTHER 1ST TIME MOMS WILL COME THRU NEXT YEAR. I REALLY THOUGHT
WE WOLD HAVE TWINS BUT NEXT TIME,HUH. I LOVE WATCHING ALL OF THIS AND SDZ DONES A GREAT JOB !

  10. Chari Mercier says:

Hi! Was watching pandacam during the morning and early afternoon before I had to go and run errands. Between around 11:30am and 12:30pm, I got a real good look at the baby panda on the cam moving around a little bit while Bai was out! YEA!!!! This cub does have a full stomach! And, I think I did notice the slight beginnings of those black markings on the cub, too. Later on tonite, I saw Bai with her cub on her chest for a few seconds before she wrapped her arms around it and rolled over on her side. The cub looks like it has grown a little bit, and after a week, looks like this cub is on track. I’ve seen the other 3 cubs go thru this transformation over the last couple of years, and it’s always very interesting and amazing on how fast panda cubs grow within a month! Still watching the cam for more cub sightings!! One of you talked about the other zoos’ pandacams and updates. It really depends on what is going on in their panda exhibits that determines on when these panda keepers write their updates on their pandas. Yes, Memphis Zoo has not had an update about Ya Ya and Le Le since Ya Ya did lose her cub a couple of months ago. The last update was around June, I think, and the panda keepers are saying that everything is pretty much back to normal with the 2 pandas after the roller coaster ride with the breeding/mating season and a pregnancy, and hoping to see a new cub born there. Ya and Le are doing just fine! Atlanta Zoo has cut their updates down to 3 days a week now that Mei Lan is doing so well. They are getting ready for Mei’s first birthday on September 6, and they are planning a week long celebration for Mei Lan’s big day. You can read about their plans on zooatlanta.org website. National Zoo is also back to normal days with all 3 of their pandas. Mei Xiang and Tian Tian have been together off and on on some days, and Tai Shan just celebrated his second birthday on July 9. NZ and China have made an agreement back about 3 months ago or so that allows NZ to keep Tai Shan there for another 2 years. More time to watch this handsome panda boy on their pandacams (2 of them!)!! And, of course, SDZ is doing a great job keeping us informed of Bai and baby everyday, and we’re getting great pics thru the pandacam. Just can’t wait for Bai to move out of the way more often so that we can see more of the cub! That’ll be coming soon enough! Bai is doing her duty as a mom keeping her baby cuddled, warm, and well fed. Suzanne, please keep us updated as much as you can, ok? Can’t wait to hear of those important milestones this cub will be making in the weeks and months to come, as well as finding out whether it’s a boy or girl! Also, let us know when the 100 day naming ceremony will be and if all of us panda fans will be able to vote for a name for the cub.
On another animal story, in case you all haven’t read about this yet, the National Zoo has a baby anteater that was born in July—their first ever! They don’t know if it’s a boy or girl yet, but they intend to find that out real soon. The baby is riding on the mother’s back a lot, and the baby is cute as anteater babies go! NZ is having a naming contest going on right now on their website—nationalzoo.si.edu—until around August 28. They have a list of boys names and girls names for us to choose from, and a video of the mother and baby anteater on the website. After August 28, the vets will find out if the baby is a boy or girl, and also announce the winning name. Go check it out!
Enuff from me for now! Enjoyed reading the other comments from all of you panda lovers!
    Still doing the baby watch,

I agree w/ Sharon, #2 re the pandacam. I too am glad that we are lucky to see these precious animals 24/7
Awhile back, it was explained that inorder to have audio, something else has to give (picture quality, accessibility, etc.) I like the images from SD as well as the blogs and interactive responses. Grateful to all the pandacam staff for the excellent continuous converage.

  12. Gram in Missouri says:

Thank you, again, for all the news and education about these magnificent animals. You seem to anticipate every question I would ask with an answer that teaches me and I appreciate that aspect of your website (as well as the 24-hour pictures). One topic I have not yet seen: It seems to me that Bai Yun is noticeably slimmer on camera. How much weight does a dam lose during her dedicated care of a cub and how long does it take her to recover?

  13. Margot says:

About 5:45 a.m. SD time–a wonderful close-up of Sweet Pea/Cubmuffin nestled in one of Bai’s arms. Thanks for giving us such a great view. The baby was clearly visible for some time.

  14. Jane B. in New Haven says:

Bright Star is fantastic! Got a glimpse yesterday when Bai was in motion! I can see the black and white now. Can’t wait to follow this cubs’ growth. Thanks SDZ! Please let us know about baby naming contests. I do think ” Bright Star ” should be a frontrunner! Great job Mama Bai!

  15. Jan in Richmond, VA says:

There is a great photo essay on Hua Mei if you do a search for… Long Island University Baby Panda….
It’s great to be able to compare this newest cub to her growth. She had her first exam at 14 days so it shouldn’t be much longer.

  16. Mary says:

This is a bit off-topic, but I really enjoyed the weekly letter yesterday with the links to the peafowl web pages.

Bai Yun looks so relaxed and laid back — she is a wonderful stress reliever! No wonder cublet is so quiet — no stress, no need to cry. And what a fat tummy.

Thanks for all the news, views and wonderful care of all our critters.

Moderator’s note: We’re glad you enjoy our weekly e-newsletter, Mary! For others interested in subscribing to this free service, visit http://www.sandiegozoo.org/newsletter/index.html

  17. Diana says:

The still image captured from the cam (shown in this posting) is incredible. I can’t take my eyes off it. It shows so many things—Bai Yun’s gentleness and the fragility of new life, just to name a few.

  18. KC says:

Maureen, speaking of Mei and Tian at the NZ, is that why they are put together? Has Mei been lonely and not herself? She was such a good mom to Tai Shan. I enjoyed watching their many play sessions and how Tai would pester Mei so much and she’d just patiently take it. I also thought it was cute when he’d try to take her fruitsicle from her when she wouldn’t share. LOL! Do you think Tai gets lonely by himself. I know pandas are by nature solitary but I still wonder. I wish the NZ would provide more updates on the pandas. They haven’t written anything since Tai’s birthday July 9.

  19. Sharon says:

I too was able to see the baby for quite a while this morning. What a wonderful moment! Thank you SDZ for all you do to enable us to share in the life of this new baby! I was wondering if all the U.S. zoos use the same protocol for recording information about the mother/child relationship in order to make it easier to record data. Does anyone know?
The pandas everywhere have been very entertaining this week – yesterday I caught Tai Shan somersaulting down a hill then running up and inside and jumping in the water. What a character! I switched to AZ and there were Lun Lun and Mei Lan lying on their climbing structure in identical postures. So sweet! From there to SDZ and a lovely picture of mother and child. Has anyone ever thought of installing panda cams in hospitals? A little pandatherapy. Thanks again for all you do.

  20. TAMI MICHAUD says:

I AM SO GLAD WE HAVE A BABY PANDA TO SHARE OUR THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS WITH….
THE FIRST THING I DO IS TURN ON MY COMPUTER AND GO TO THE PANDA CAM…I HAVE YET TO SEE THE BABY…

NOW WE HAVE A NEW BLOG EVERYDAY AND I LIKE THAT!!!

WELL TODAY I SAW MOMMA AND BABY ON YOUR POSTED PICTURE AND GOT EMOTIONAL…HOW PRECIOUS IS THAT PICTURE AND WE GET TO SEE IT. NEXT BEST THING TO BEING THERE….

SHE HAS SUCH PRECIOUS BABIES…AND THIS ONE SEEMS TO BE IN A HURRY TO GROW UP.

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THIS INSIGHT AND PICTURES SDZ…..

  21. Cheryl says:

Wow – I’ve been watching Bai and baby for a couple hours this morning (Sat.) – and she’s got a pretty wiggly, active baby on her hands. She hasn’t had as many cat naps this morning as I’ve see her have – and has spent alot of time snuggling, nursing, cleaning and trying to keep a handle on the little one. I think it’s a good sign – that we have an active, healthy cub – but I’m guessing big mama would like a little more rest – afterall, it’s Saturday – the day to kick back and relax after a long week ; )

  22. Cathy B. says:

Fantastic camera work today!! I was finally able to see little Cubbie today–what a precious sight to behold! And I swear I can see a smile on Mommy Bai Yun’s face.

  23. Donna says:

I was curious about Bai Yu’s first born, Hua Mei. Hua Mei now lives at Wolong so I did an internet search. What a delicious surprise to see that she just gave birth in July to a pair of twins!! I think it may be her third set of twins. Now I must do more research and find pictures of them.

Bai Yu – You’re a grandmother again as well as a Wonderful Mom for us to watch.

  24. Sommer Halligan says:

I can’t thank you enough for this amazing opportunity. As a midwife, it has been fascinating to watch Bai Yun’s behavior with her cub. I am seeing so many parallels with human maternal behavior and Bai Yun is validating my beliefs about the importance of near-constant physical contact between mother and infant. My children and I check in with Bai Yun and Bright Star 10-20 times a day, and it never fails to bring a smile to our faces. Hopefully, we’ll get to see Bright Star actually latched on and nursing… Wouldn’t that be fun!

I thank you for the work you all are doing down there at the Zoo, and I wish you the very best in your continuing efforts to protect these gorgeous animals. May they thrive in perpetuity.

  25. Maureen says:

It’s about 8:30pm eastern time & I’m seeing our cubbie plain as day, curled up on Bai’s huge paw – it’s squirming around. Great pictures. Thanks

  26. Grace says:

Thanks to the Meerkats for wonderful shots of Bai Yun and the cub. The cub is currently resting quietly and well on her front paw, and I can see that it occasionally wiggles a little. I hope to be able to see the black-and-white markings more clearly on the camera soon!

  27. Anne in Indiana says:

Oh! Wonderful view of the cublet right now — you can clearly see the darker coloring on the eyes and ears, and the little bitty baby claws on its front paws! It looks like it is kneading its front paws like a kitten. Soooo sweet!

  28. Cindy in East Lansing says:

Here in Michigan it’s 9:00 pm and I’ve been watching an EXTREME close-up of everyone’s favorite newborn cubbie for several minutes. Not only could I see the emerging black patterning, but I was also amazed by the claws on the squirmy little critter. Many, many thanks to SDZ staff for the close-ups whenever Bai gets into a position that allows a peek.

  29. Maureen says:

Kc# 18 – am not sure why Mei & Tian are back together but seemed like after her psuedo-pregnancy all she did was sleep. Now with Tian there she has been outside & they are playing together. I watched Tia from the day he born & he was a terror on wheels – many of the daily updates had me in stitches. He seems content but a playmate would be fun for him.
Thanks for the info about the anteater baby – checked that out – funny looking thing riding on mom’s back-pandas are cuter.

  30. Mae says:

All the care givers at SDZ are wonderful, patient, and tireless! The animals thrive under your care that you
give to each of them – big, small, furry, feathery, scaly, popular and less-popular creatures. I truly appreciate
the dedication you have made to work with these animals who are totally dependent upon you. Because of
your efforts, I am able to sit in NJ and get thrilled by the images I see on panda cam. Tonight you showed a
wonderful close-up of baby cub and we could get a detailed look at the tiny paws with surprisingly long nails!
What a joy to see it yawn. I wonder what it thinks as it rests on Bai Yun’s large, gentle paws. Although it
is blind, it must surely know that it is loved by its mother. Later when it is older, I hope it knows that it is loved by thousands, if not millions, of SDZ fans.

  31. Margaret says:

What a fantastic shot of Bai and her little one.

How is the interaction between Su Lin and Mei Sheng going? Any plans to let them into the same exhibit space, or are you staying with the Howdy window until time for Mei Sheng to go into quarantine?

  32. Margaret says:

Where is the log that Su Lin loves to nap on and hug in proximity to the ” cave” ? She sure loves that log. It is priceless to watch her hug it and get really comfortable. Mei Sheng loves logs too, and the top of his tree house.

  33. Mary Lou says:

Well, FINALLY, at 7:10 p.m. Mei allowed me to see the ‘little one’ squirming like crazy for quite awhile. Then, Mei picked him/her up and licked and licked and put it down again. and he squirmed again for awhile before Mei covered him up. This time was able to see the darker colors coming! My patience was rewarded! Really looking forward to the coming year when he/she will become very active. Thank you SDZ for taking such good care of not only the pandas but all the animals at the zoo. You are all very dedicated.

  34. Barbara says:

It’s 7:28PM San Diego time and I just saw the cubmuffin in Bai’s arms! It’s wiggling around and I can even see its litlte eyeballs – this is very exciting!!

  35. Jane from Santa Cruz says:

a day full of great views of the cub! Day 8 is a breakthrough day for sure. Many thanks to the technicians and scientists providing this rare chance to witness an amazing spectacle of nature.

after viewing the mother and child interaction on and off throughout the day, it seems as if one of the mother’s strategies to build her cub’s strength is to give it resistance training. She holds the cub close and the cub, it seems, struggles to move away from the mother, reaching out with its disproportionately long front legs in a rowing action, while the mother continues to weigh down its body with her paw or tuck it somewhere else safe on her body. I even saw what looked to be like tiny claws on the cub’s front paws around 17:39 today (5 pm PST).

    Thank you!

  36. Chi-Chi says:

Watching this little one bring back a lots of good memory of Mei Sheng. I am starting to miss him already! I just wish he didn’t have to go back to China…..They each are so unique and so special.

  37. Chari Mercier says:

To the new cub: Happy one week old birthday!! You have made it thru the toughest part of your life! Now, it should be smooth sailing with your mom, Bai Yun, taking such great care of you every day, and you keep on growing!
Thought I’d write that for the little cub! Being a week old and getting thru that first week of life is an accomplishment for this cub, and thanks to Bai, this cub has a very good chance of growing and getting stronger every day. Haven’t been on the cam all day today until now (11pm EDT), and just checked in to see how Bai and baby are doing tonite. Will get on the cam alot more tomorrow.
KC, I also have enjoyed watching Tai Shan on the National Zoo pandacam grow and develop from that tiny cub 2 years ago. As far as Tai feeling lonely, don’t think so! He’s definitely doing his own thing—eating bamboo, napping at his favorite cool spot outside, playing with some of his toys inside, eating more bamboo, sleeping—he’s a happy camper, and I doubt if he misses Mom! At least we will all be able to see him on their pandacam alot more for the next 2 years! I agree with you—we need more updates on Tai, Mei, and Tian!!
Sharon, watching Mei Lan grow and develop over this past year has been fun! I love it when Mei and her mom, Lun Lun, get into their hammock and relax in it. That’s been Mei’s favorite spot to nurse because it is soooo comfy there! Lun just sits there and relaxes while Mei gets her lunch! Watching Mei and Lun play together has been a lot of fun to watch, too! Mei will be a year old on September 6, so check out the AZ site for info on their birthday celebration for Mai Lan!
Gonna go and get some sleep! Panda fans need their rest, too!

Just as I tuned in this evening I got to see the Bright Star. It was like Bai Yun was posing the cub for a close-up.
I am soooooo thrilled, I just had to tell someone! I was too late clicking on ” send a postcard” to get a picture recorded for my memory book, but I stored the scene in my ” brain camera” . That way, I can look at it anytime.

You are still the BEST REALITY SHOW in the world! Thanks for the thrill and the memories!
    Love, Joy :)

  39. Chari Mercier says:

8/11/2007, 11:50pm EDT (8:50pm PDT): Went back on the pandacam to check in on Bai and baby one more time before I went to bed, and there they were! Baby was nestled in between Bai’s big warm arms wiggling off and on, and Bai was just laying there napping. That was a great sight to see tonite! Now, that I’ve been able to see that wonderful pic, I will go to bed knowing that mom and baby are doing just great! Still can’t see the black markings too well yet, but will see those in the next few days as the color gets more pronounced. Gonna go and sleep! More panda watching tomorrow!

#20 Tami – AND All WHO HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO SEE THE CUB.

Go to You Tube and search for Bai Yun. There are several videos there that were taken from the SDZ panda cam. Enjoy!!!

  41. Shari says:

I wonder how ” Cubmuffin” would translate into Chinese? :)

  42. Noreen says:

Having a splendid time this evening peeking in on Bai and Baby. Looked like Bai had Baby’s back legs secured under her chin. Baby’s upper torso was squirming here and there and mouth was wide open (I imagined squealing or wailing). Then more licking by Bai, followed by cuddling. And it seemed just when Bai got comfy, the little furball peeked out from Bai’s neck and the action started all over again. LOL!

Got a glimpse of the mini-claws. Simply amazing to be able to view this.

    Back to the cam!

    thanks once again, SDZ!

  43. Julie from NJ says:

After being away from the panda cam all day Saturday, I checked in at 12:35am Sunday (EST), and was delighted to see most of Bright Star/Cubmuffin tucked under Bai’s chin, wriggling around on it’s back! This is more of the cub than I have ever seen, and it is so thrilling! I expect we will have more closeups as the days pass, and as the cub gets bigger, he/she will be easier to see!
What a blessing to see this wonderful Mom with her growing cub; thank you SDZ for once again allowing us to watch as this precious cub develops into another beautiful panda!

  44. Lainie says:

Lots of views of the cub today… enough so that I was able to send out a couple of post cards. =)
Thank You Bai Yun for sharing baby with us as much as you did today !!

  45. Diane says:

I’m so excited! Caught my first glimpse of Bai’s cub early Sat. morning. Since that time, I’ve been fortunate to see and send postcard images of mom and baby panda to friends and family. My 4 year old granddaughter is sharing my fascination with the newborn too.
The reports and cam pictures are much appreciated–thanks again for your efforts on our behalf.

  46. Marlene says:

Great camera work Saturday, Meerkats (as always). Lots of great shots of ” Cubbie, Cublet, Cubmuffin, The Little One, Sweet Pea, Bright Star.” My goodness! This baby needs a name!!!

  47. Luciana A. I. Kreidel says:

I think Bai Yun should get a medal of honour for her services to her species! She alone produced four cubs, and one of her cubs (Hua Mei) produced 6 cubs. That makes 10 cubs due to Bai Yun. As regards the 1,600 pandas left in the world, 10 new ones are a huge contribution! Thank you so much for existing, Bai Yun!

  48. Julie from NJ says:

#35 Jane from Santa Cruz: I think your thoughts about Bai Yun giving the cub resistance training makes perfect sense…! It truly amazes me how a bear as large as Bai, and with such big paws, can cradle her tiny cub so gently and expertly without hurting it. Another marvel and miracle of Mother Nature, and we can see it all!
Bright Star/cubmuffin/SweetPea is really moving around now, which is great for Panda Cam obsessed viewers all over the world…! Thank you, SDZ…!!!

  49. Peggy says:

I got a good look of the baby twice yesterday. Awesome and it just gives me goosebumps when I see how loving Bai Yun is to her cub. How many nipples does Bai Yun off for the baby to feed on? She holds the baby so high up we can’t see where the baby suckles. I know they can’t handle twins but most other bears can it seems as many do come out of hibernation with twins in tow. Is there something different that makes it impossible for panda moms to take care of twins?

The contract between the Zoo and China is coming up expiration. Is there any plan for China to take the pandas back? I wouldn’t think they’d even consider doing it since we have such a successful breeding program. We have provided them with one panda so far and Hua Mei has given them three sets of twins so far. No doubt when Mei Sheng is mature he will sire many cubs as well and we know Su Lin will probably do as well as her mother.

  50. celfyddydau says:

Bai is giving a great view of the bubba right know and the meercats have zoomed in. – thanks both :D It’s starting to look like a baby panda. Had a great view for a good couple of minutes. She’s holding it in her arms/front legs by her chin.

I have downloaded a gadget so the baby is right on my desktop.

    10.56 – 11am Sunday

  51. Maureen says:

Thanks for the info about youtube.com – type in panda & you’ll get enough videos to last you for days.
Haven’t see our little cubbie today – back to cam now.

  52. Candy in Iowa says:

Fantastic! At 19:03 – 19:15 SD time anyone watching got great cam shots of cubmuffin! For the 1st few minutes our cub was sprawled out across Bai’s front paw lounging then Mom got up for a stretch and we got some great close ups alone. The dark pigmentation is really coming through all over. We keep hearing what a quiet cub this is and it did appear pretty content laying alone. Great way to end the evening!

Looks like big brother is resting very peacefully now. Thanks again for the wonderful close up camera work!

  53. barbara says:

to all the meerkats, you deserve a medal for all the great shots of Bai and our little cubbie, they are great and my little granddaughter watched this weekend with me and was fasinated by the baby she said the baby has fat belly. That shows just how great a mom Bai is. My granddaughter watched for about a half hour with great intrest. This child has a love of animals that amazes me.I can’t believe how much has changed in a little over a week. This amazing little creature is a treasure to love and enjoy

  54. Joy in Yuma says:

Thank you so much for putting up a cute picture of our new baby!
