Intern Kati is inserting DNA into agarose gel for electrophoresis.

DNA is inserted into agarose gel and then the scientists run an electric current through it. The electric current creates a charge, causing the DNA to migrate to the opposite end.

The white mass inside the tube is DNA that was duplicated from a California condor.

Fascinating and COOL. Wish I had such a great opportunity to learn so many neat things about the world of exotic animals in the zoo.
