King of the Kongs

Thanks again to the Adopt-An-Animal Program, the bonobos at the Wild Animal Park were able to experience a bit of an Easter egg hunt with toys called Kongs and peanut butter. The keepers smeared peanut butter on trees and ropes and hid peanut butter-filled Kongs throughout the bonobo enclosure before the animals were let out. Jumanji, who loves a challenge, wasted no time in gathering as many as he could find, collecting all of them. Using his nimble fingers and tongue, he scooped out the peanut butter then discarded the Kongs in search for more. Jumanji’s little sister, Mudheblu (pronounced ” moody blue” ) quickly picked up a Kong and used her tiny fingers and hands to reach further in and gather what her brother could not reach. The rest of the bonobos spent the morning searching for fun little treasures of peanut butter on their favorite swings and trees. The bonobos were excited about the special treat and fun game!

Thank you for sharing about the peanut butter and the gorillas. I wish I could go to the zoo but I can not. Your story was very fun to read. Peanut butter must be a treat for them. Please tell other stories as I will be reading all the way from Granger, Washington.Thank you very much!
