Thanks for the information, Bridget. I saw the cubs this morning with their mother, and they surely look healthy -- fit and lively! Are they still nursing along with their meatball treats, and if so, about how many months do they nurse?

I so appreciate these blogs and the education we all are getting from them. I'd love to hear from more of the keepers (although I know how busy you are!) Polar bears, takins, birds, other cats large and small, great apes, wild pigs --so many wondrous creatures we are fortunate to have and protect!

Ick and interesting at the same time! :) Bridget, you said the meat is precisely weighed-how do you know how much to feed a tiger?

Thank you for the update. I visited the zoo yesterday and was delighted to see the adorable cubs frolicking next to an exhibit window. They seemed to be entertained by watching the human zoo visitors. They are beautiful.
